In 1943, eighteen Brokers had a vision of highly professional sales persons serving the property owners of Medina County. Today, the functions of the Medina County Board of REALTORS®, INC. are administered by the President, President-Elect, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Immediate Past President, six Directors, and the Executive Officer. The elected leaders are truly dedicated, work hard and spend many volunteer hours to perform duties of the Board.
On March 1, 1976 we opened our first association office, which was located in a room at the Medina Chamber of Commerce in the Masonic Temple building. We quickly outgrew that location and moved to 318 Court Street, where we resided for eight years. When the Chamber's lease was running out in the Spring of 1989, we made the decision, under the leadership of President Darlene Kovack, that we should start looking for property to purchase.
After viewing a number of properties, we made an offer on 420 N. Court Street in Medina. We moved in on May 30, 1989, with the Medina Chamber, who were our tenants. The Chamber occupied the first floor, with our offices on the second.
After five years, the Chamber made the decision to move, because they needed more space, which gave us use of the entire building. On January 22, 1998, we celebrated the burning of our mortgage at our General Membership Meeting (9 years after purchase).
In November of 2007 we moved to our present location of 2530 Medina Rd. Suite #100. This location is conveniently located on Medina Rd. (Rt. 18), 1 mile west of I-71. At this location we are able to offer three additional office spaces and have a large room for classes and committee meetings.
Our members include REALTORS® and AFFILIATES; both are appreciated for all the volunteer hours that are given back to the Association.
