Political Advocacy
Political advocacy: an act of supporting a change or creation of an issue on a local, state, or federal level.
Political Advocacy is fundamental to being a REALTOR®. REALTORS® are members of the REALTOR® Party which partners with the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC). Together, these organizations fight exclusively for homeownership, real estate investment, and the free enterprise system.
REALTORS® support the public’s interests by advocating for public policies and candidates that build strong communities, protect property rights and promote business growth. We do this on a local, state, and federal level.
MCBOR’s Legislative Committee stays connected with Medina County cities and townships to understand proposed legislation and real estate development. Annually, local candidates are interviewed to determine who best advocates for personal property rights. MCBOR members and staff have successfully lobbied in Medina County against potential fair housing regulations and other issues that may affect the public and our industry.
