August 16, 2024
On August 17th, NAR implements changes to real estate practices resulting from the proposed settlement of the Spitzer-Burnett case. This settlement may impact consumers who sold a home through the MLS in the U.S., during specific dates and paid a commission to a real estate brokerage. Those home sellers will receive a Class Notice via mail and email with more information.
Consumer Questions:
“NAR members should direct consumers to the settlement website (www.RealEstateCommissionLitigation.com) where they can find relevant information. You may also direct them to call the settlement administrator at 888-995-0207, for additional guidance. NAR members should refrain from further advising consumers on class notice.” This content is copyright 2024 Ohio REALTORS®.
